The weather around Toronto is making this prairie boy feel a little homesick... It's December 10 and I haven't seen any snow around the city, not even a flake! I haven't even had to bust out the winter parka yet. What the heck is even happening? Compared to Manitoba I knew it was going to be a milder climate, but this is madness! According to the weather network I don't need to worry because the cold weather and snow is indeed on it's way, but I just couldn't wait. My lady and I decided to head north to find some of this winter weather. We headed up to Muskoka for a day and hiked around Hardy Lake. We were not disappointed. Fresh snow and cool weather, the full winter experience!

Bruce Peninsula Blues 2
Spent another weekend up in Bruce Peninsula. It was pretty cold and rainy which is actually great... When it's nice out you can expect Bruce Peninsula to be packed. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. Here are some shots from that weekend.

Autumn in Algonquin
Here are some images from a recent trip out to the legendary Algonquin Provincial Park. My lady and I were lucky with the timing as the leaves on the trees were in their full fall glory. I imagine this park would be amazing all year round, but it was a bonus that we caught the trees at their peak. I beautiful display of the autumn colour pallet. I'm already looking forward to my next trip back. Until then, here are some images from our Algonquin journey.

Thanks @ExploreCanada
I recently had a image of mine featured across @ExploreCanada's social networks. The image was taken at the Rogers Centre (AKA The Skydome) in Toronto during my first Blue Jays game. The image isn't actually a single image, it's actually about 9 images stitched together using photo shop to give the appearance of an ultra-wide angle lens. I did it all handheld and surprisingly it worked out. This will be a great technique moving forward as a Photographer. Sometimes the scope of a scene is too wide to capture on my go to 24mm lens. It will be a great fallback plan if I can't quite fit everything I want into my frame.

BEFORE & AFTER
Like almost every photographer ever, most of the time I try to get images correct in camera. I want to be happy with an image directly from camera. Despite this, there is obviously so much value in using post-processing to create a look and feel on an image. I've been using Photoshop for a while now and I figured it would be a good time to take my photo-editing game up a peg. I've been practicing and adding new editing techniques to my repertoire. Here are some images I've recently edited using these new-to-me photoshop tricks. I've included the untouched image so you can see the difference. Canadian Geographic and Narcity
I was included in a Canadian Geographic publication "150 Ultimate Canadian Instagram Photos" and a Narcity list "15 Manitoban Photographers Who Will Make You Love Manitoba" .
Here are the photos they used.
