My favourite stop in China has to be Old Town Dali. I always try to picture what it would be like to live in the places I travel to, and of all the spots we stopped in China this is the one I could definitely see myself living in. With mountains to west and Erhai Lake to the east, this quaint little town is one chill spot to stop. The streets are spotted with tons of hip cafes and bars. Once the sun goes down there is live music coming from just about every second building. On top of that we had some of the best meals here, including some vegetarian hot pot and a restaurant that specialized in Buddhist vegetarian food. This town has a really hippy vibe. If you are into any of these things and you find yourself in Yunnan Province be sure to swing by Dali. Click on the images below to see the full photograph.
